Frequently Asked Questions

Bell Termite and Pest Control offers a comprehensive range of services to manage and eliminate pests, including termites, rodents, ants, cockroaches, spiders, fleas, and more. We provide residential and commercial pest control solutions, termite inspections and treatments, rodent exclusion services, and customized pest management plans to fit your specific needs.

Our free inspection is a thorough examination of your property by one of our experienced technicians to identify any signs of pest activity or vulnerabilities that could lead to future infestations. During the inspection, we’ll check both the interior and exterior of your property, including common problem areas such as basements, attics, kitchens, and garages. We’ll look for signs of pests, such as droppings, nests, damage to structures, and entry points pests might use to get inside. After the inspection, we’ll provide you with a detailed report of our findings, including any recommendations for pest control treatments or preventative measures to protect your home or business.

We recommend having your property inspected for pests at least once a year. However, if you live in an area prone to specific pests or if you’ve had infestations in the past, more frequent inspections might be necessary. Our team can provide a personalized recommendation based on your situation.

Preparation can vary depending on the type of pest and treatment plan. Generally, it involves cleaning the home, storing food in sealed containers, and removing pets and people from the area during treatment. Our team will provide specific instructions before the service appointment.

To get a quote, you can contact us directly via phone (888) 699-9808 or through our website. We offer free, no-obligation inspections and quotes. Our team will assess your pest control needs and provide a detailed estimate for our services.

First, we need to do a free termite inspection to verify you have drywood termites in your home. We also
need to make sure that the termites you are seeing are not subterranean termites. Subterranean termites
require soil treatment, not a tent fumigation.

If we start the tent fumigation Monday through Thursday, the occupants will need to stay out of the home
for two nights. If we start the tent fumigation on a Friday, the occupants need to stay out for 3 nights.

We schedule the gas shutoff. The gas company will be coming on the morning of your fumigation to shut
off gas from 7AM -11:30 AM. Please make sure there are no locked gates starting at 7:00am, so that the
gas company can access your gas meters.

Owner/occupant is responsible for restoring gas service. Gas company can be reached at 877-238-0092.
The gas company requires 48 hours notice. If you have service with Long Beach Gas, their number is
562-750-5700.

You need to bag any food, medicines, or drinks that are not sealed airtight with a manufacturer seal. We
will provide special bags for you. You cannot use your own regular bags. We will deliver bags a few days
before the tent fumigation. The following YouTube video explains how to bag your food. You can also check out this fumigation fact sheet

Yes, Please make sure that all plants, trees and bushes are cut back at least 1 foot away from the home.
